SUBSTANCE ABUSE

You have successfully built a life without drugs or alcohol, but something is missing. You may now find it difficult to build meaningful relationships, have no passion and desire in your life, or have had a relapse after many years of sobriety. The compulsive behavior that initially contributed to substance abuse can be manifesting in other ways like excessive use of pornography, major weight fluctuations and sexual dysfunction. These compulsive symptoms can actually change what happens in your inner world. Finding something, at a deep level, that is equally as satisfying as these behaviors can be difficult. In addition to the support of a recovery program, you may need a way to individualize your program.
